One Got Fat – Bicycle Safety (1963)

4 Mar

“One Got Fat” (1963) is a lesson about bike safety. This documentary features a group of children, all wearing ape masks, rides their bicycles to the park for a picnic. Along the way, each one meets a different fate on their way to the park as a result of their failure to follow specific bike safety rules. They’re hit by cars, flattened by steamrollers, falling down manholes, etc. and all but one are eliminated.
The actor Edward Everett Horton narrated the film and Max Hutto was the Photography director.

It´s truly something different, a creative and bizarre safety campaign. I´d like to find and see something similar in this day and age; everything is sooo boring… Obviously is not the most hilarious movie for kids, but I think it´d be a must see!
