In my opinion, this is the best video of 2012. Yes, it is. One hundred per cent amazing. The director of this film is Ben Strebel, Strebel also directed Crystal Fighters ‘Champion Sound‘ or Animal Kingdom ‘Sings and wonders’.
But… firstly, I´d like to write a few lines about this band based in UK, cause I am sure we will hear a lot about them.
Clock Opera are known for good remixes made for groups like the Drums, Bloc Party, Marina and the Diamonds, Tracey Thorn, Feist or Architecture in Helsinki. During the last years, they’ve taken the time to make their melodies, lyrics and compositions grow. Now, they are at last gonna release their own debut album, ‘Ways to forget’, on 9th April 2012. Finally! This is great news!
The driving force of this group is Guy Connelly, who has a special and emotionally naked voice, that you can recognize as soon you listen to any of his songs. Andy West (bass, guitar, synths), Che Albrighton (drums, samples) and Dan Armstrong (samples, synths, keyboards, backing vocals) are the rest of the Clock Opera members.
And… about the actors of the videoclip (good casting’ s work, indeed), the old lady is Ann Queensbury and the old man is Dudley Sutton.
I have to admit that I love him, so sweet… I´ve been checking his personal website and I´ve found interesting things and words, like these: “and now, at 73, I feel I am just starting out -still pretty broke but believe me, it is far wealthier to be inspired than be rich…”.
And, after watching this video, it´s probably you think the same that I did: whatever age you are, you should seize the day and the life.
I also recommend you to check out the Belongings video, directed by Aoife McArdle, and Lesson No.7, by Andy West.

Bueno, muy bueno!!!!
